Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge (known in Japan as Vampire Hunter) is a 2D arcade fighting game developed and released by Capcom in 1995 for the CPS2 hardware.

Story & Roster
The narrative follows the various “Darkstalkers”—creatures of myth like vampires, werewolves, and succubi—who are drawn out of hiding to face the alien overlord Pyron, who intends to consume Earth.
- Returning Fighters: Includes the original 10 playable characters such as Morrigan Aensland, Demitri Maximoff, and Felicia.
- New Playable Characters:
- Donovan Baine: A dhampir (half-vampire) monster hunter seeking to purge his own cursed blood.
- Hsien-Ko (Lei-Lei): A Chinese “Jiangshi” (ghost) fighting to save her mother’s soul.
- Bosses Made Playable: The previous non-playable bosses, Huitzil and Pyron, are now fully selectable.

Gameplay Summary
The game utilizes a six-button layout similar to Street Fighter, but distinguishes itself with faster, more fluid movement and supernatural abilities.
- Super Meter Overhaul: Unlike the first game, where the meter drained over time, players can now stock multiple levels of the Special gauge for later use.
- Chain Combos: Introduced a system where players can link normal attacks of increasing strength (e.g., LP > MP > HP).
- ES and EX Moves: Players can spend meter to perform “ES” moves (enhanced special moves) or “EX” moves (high-damage super finishers).
- Advanced Mobility: Features mechanics that became Capcom staples, such as air-blocking, air-dashing, and pursuit attacks on downed opponents.
