Dimahoo (known in Japan as Great Mahou Daisakusen) is a 2D vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up released for the CP System II (CPS2) in 2000. Developed by 8ing/Raizing and published by Capcom, it is the third and final installment in the Mahou Daisakusen trilogy.

Core Gameplay Mechanics
- Elemental Polarity System: By holding the fire button, your ship’s affinity alternates between Red (Fire) and Blue (Ice).
- Attacking an enemy with the opposite color deals double damage and awards more points.
- Matching your color to incoming enemy bullets allows you to neutralize/absorb them safely.
- RPG-Style Loot System: Destroying enemies with a charge shot causes them to drop “Treasure” items like armor, swords, and food. There are 108 unique items to collect, organized into sets that provide score multipliers.
- Charge Shots & Satellites: Collecting a “Magic Book” adds two satellite options to your ship, which carry out powerful, personalized charge attacks based on the current elemental color.

Playable Characters
The game features four default characters, plus four unlockable secret guests:
- Solo-Bang (Warrior): High power, balanced movement.
- Karte (Sorceress): Wide-reaching magic attacks.
- Miyamoto (Samurai Dragon): A returning character from the series with unique draconic weapons.
- Grimlen (Necromancers): A group of small creatures with complex attack patterns.
- Secret Characters: Accessible via a code (Up, Up, Left, Down, Down, Right, A, B, A, B, A), these include Gain and Chitta from Sorcer Striker, and Birthday and Golden from Armed Police Batrider.
Setting & Plot
The story follows a group of bounty hunters defending the surface from the Gobligan Underground Empire, a race of goblins from a hollow Earth that uses steam-powered tanks, laser-equipped turtles, and mechanical dragons.
