Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness is a mecha-themed 2D fighting game developed and published by Capcom for the CP System II (CPS2) arcade hardware in 1995. It is a spin-off of the 1994 beat ’em up Armored Warriors (known as Powered Gear in Japan).

Gameplay Mechanics
- Pilot & Mech Selection: Players first select a pilot (which determines the story) and then a Variant Armor (VA) (which determines the moveset and playstyle).
- Control Scheme: Unlike the standard 6-button Capcom layout, it uses a 4-button system: two attack buttons, one “Boost” button for dodging/dashing, and one for a long-range weapon.
- Limb Damage: A unique mechanic allows mechs to have their limbs knocked off during combat, significantly reducing their combat abilities until the part is retrieved.
- Customization: In some modes, different legs (affecting movement) and arms (affecting reach/melee) can be mixed and matched.
- Special Attacks: Includes “Cyber EX” super moves and a “Giga Crash” gauge for powerful attacks.
Story & Setting
- Setting: Late 21st century on an overpopulated Earth where humanity lives in space colonies.
- Conflict: The story centers on “Earth Force,” a military group conducting nefarious experiments, and various pilots—like the hot-blooded Jin Saotome—who get caught in the conflict.
