Released by Konami in 1990, Aliens is a side-scrolling, run-and-gun arcade game loosely based on the 1986 film of the same name. Players control Ellen Ripley or Corporal Hicks (in 2-player co-op) as they fight through hordes of Xenomorphs on the planet LV-426.

A-JAX

A-JAX (released as Typhoon in Europe) is a 1987 vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up arcade game developed and published by Konami. The game is multi-layered gameplay that combines top-down 2D shooter segments with pseudo-3D stages. 

Aero Fighters

Released in 1992 by Video System, the arcade version of Aero Fighters (known as Sonic Wings in Japan) is a vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up that set the foundation for the Strikers 1945 series. 

The Age of Heroes

The Age of Heroes (also known as The Age of Heroes: Silkroad 2) is a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up arcade game released in 2000 by the American developer Unico. It serves as the official sequel to The Legend of Silk Road. 

Thunder Force AC

Thunder Force AC is a horizontal scrolling shooter released by Sega and Technosoft in 1990 for arcades. It is a “retooling” of the Sega Genesis classic Thunder Force III, modified specifically for coin-op play with several distinct differences in progression and content. 

Thunder Blade

Thunder Blade is a 1987 combat flight simulator and rail shooter developed by Sega for arcades. Heavily inspired by the 1983 film Blue Thunder, it puts you in control of a high-tech attack helicopter.
