In the arcade world, Rohga: Armor Force (released in Japan as Wolf Fang: Kuuga 2001) is a 1991 run-and-gun/platformer hybrid developed by Data East.

The narrative is set in a future where military mechs, or “Armored Soldiers,” are the primary weapons of war. 

• The Conflict: Two years after the “First Ragnarok War” (1999 A.D.), the terrorist organization Ragnarok (also known as DAGGER) resurfaces. They occupy major military factories in Oceania—specifically Australia and New Zealand—to seize incomplete, deadly mech technology for their own use.
• The Mission: To stop the threat, the USAF and RAAF form a strike force. You play as an elite mech operator tasked with liberating the occupied territories and testing the newly developed “Armored Soldier” combat units.
• Alternative Endings: While the international arcade release often cuts the story intermissions, the original Japanese version features multiple paths. Your choices determine which of the four distinct endings you receive. 

Character Overview

• Role: He is a high-ranking enforcer for the Red Skull, often appearing at the end of early stages or as a mid-boss in later levels.
• Appearance: He is a large, muscular mercenary clad in bulky red and silver power armor with distinctive mechanical “armored arms” that provide him with superhuman strength and reach.
• Abilities: In the game, Rogha primarily uses physical attacks, including powerful punches, charging rushes, and ground pounds that can stun players. He is often accompanied by foot soldiers or other minor enemies to distract the player. 

Strategy Tips

• Range: Use your character’s ranged “Avenger Attack” (shield throw, energy beam, or arrow) to chip away at his health from a distance, as his reach is deceptive.
• Avoid Charges: When he prepares to charge, jump over him or move vertically (up or down) on the 2D plane to avoid being caught in his rush.
• Co-op: In the arcade and Genesis versions, having one player distract him while the other attacks from behind is an effective way to deplete his health bar quickly.
